Practitioners

Wendy Brackeen DC, MEd, ATC, CCSP

Dr. Wendy was born and raised in Oregon. Growing up, she was inspired by watching healthcare practitioners helping others and knew that was her calling. Her undergraduate degree is from Oregon State University and is in Exercise and Sports Science. She became an athletic trainer shortly after. Her focus has been biomechanics and injury prevention. Ten years later she decided to get her degree as a Chiropractic Physician and attended National University in Lombard, Illinois. She graduated in 2012 and moved back to Oregon and has been practicing Chiropractic and athletic training since.

In June of 2018, Dr. Wendy started studying energy healing. She always felt the energy fields around her but did not know how to use that energy. With help from others that practice energy healing and a lot of self study, Dr. Wendy started practicing and using energy healing for herself, friends, and family. This method of treatment has helped her in her own personal life extensively. She has already had some great success with treating others as well.

It is this unique blend of energy healing, chiropractic care, athletic training, and biomechanics that truly allows her to treat the entire person and give the patient an unparalleled experience.

Tessa Thomas DC

My journey to becoming a chiropractor has been influenced by my positive experiences with chiropractic, massage, physical therapy and rehabilitation exercise as both patient and provider. Chiropractic has been central to my healing after injuries, and to actively improving my health post-injury. I appreciate the opportunity to serve others in the same way, helping
them to feel better and continue to do the things they love.
I find that utilizing different techniques is the best way to treat each patient individually. I have spent time honing a variety of chiropractic as well as soft tissue techniques and will continue to do so to be able to assist people in the most efficient ways. I am a proponent of teaching patients how they can reduce pain and gain strength in their daily lives. This is most often done
by incorporating simple but effective changes that give each person more control in how they feel.
After working as a Massage Therapist and Physical Therapy Aide I wanted to continue to grow and help patients even more. I graduated from University of Western States in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees and look forward to continuing to help people every day!

Leilani is one of our practitioners who specializes in athletic training. She was born in Hawaii and raised in Japan. From a young age, she has always been a very active and energetic person. She attended California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA and graduate with a degree of Exercise and Sports
Medicine with an emphasis in Athletic Training. During college she worked at a local gym in a program for middle school, high school, and college athletes in a strength training and conditioning program. She
also worked at a small private physical therapy clinic where she grew her knowledge on manual therapy techniques and expanded her exercise rehabilitation knowledge.

Leilani moved to Oregon in late 2013 and started working at Glencoe HS as the athletic trainer through Tuality Healthcare as well as their physical therapy clinic.
In the summer of 2018 Leilani started studying energy healing and tapping into her own intuition and abilities. With help from other energy healers, Dr. Wendy, and self-studies, Leilani started practicing and developed her skills in healing others. She works with Tarot cards, crystals and essential oils in her practice and has successfully helped others start their journey to health.
Leilani believes that we should always be working on our health because it is a journey, not a destination. Health is not just physical, but mental, emotional and spiritual as well. All of which should be considered.

Jego Alfonso, LMT

Jego is a Licensed Massage Therapist, who had recently graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2022. Jego was born in the Philippines, but has been a resident of Oregon since 1998. Growing up, Jego played a lot of sports, including football, basketball, tennis and swimming. With that sort of lifestyle growing up, it’s no surprise that he would have experienced various injuries at various times in his life. This is part of the reason why he wanted to become an LMT in the first place, to help people manage their pain from injuries or daily life and get them back to living life as they previously had. Jego currently employs massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and neuromuscular therapy. He is currently looking to expand his skill set by learning more in Sports massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. During his free time however, he’ll usually be found either playing video games, playing instruments and listening to music, or just spending time with his friends.

Emily Mott, LMT

Emily is one of our licensed massage therapists. She has been a resident of Oregon since 1988 and graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2023. After experiencing the benefits of craniosacral massage, she became interested in becoming an LMT so she can help other people manage their stress and pain. She believes in holistic care which includes physical, mental and spiritual wellness. She is interested in expanding her skills with eastern and craniosacral techniques. In her spare time, she likes walking nature trails, meditating and family game nights.
