Yoga FAQs

Can I still participate in your yoga classes if I have bad knees?

Yes, our yoga classes are modified with your individual strengths and weaknesses in mind to ensure that you are safely getting the most out of each session. If any exercises feel uncomfortable or too difficult, our certified yoga instructor will gladly show you other exercises that you can perform until you find the one that’s right for you.

Are these classes safe for someone with no experience?

Yoga is considered a very safe form of exercise that can be modified for all ages and experience levels. If you still have any concerns, Dr. Wendy can perform an initial examination prior to your first class to determine where you should begin.

What if I am not flexible?

We hear this question a lot. The important thing to remember is that there is no such thing as a perfect pose. We all need to stop judging ourselves against others. Your journey is unique and we are here to help you. If you are not able to hold any of the exercises we perform in class, we will work with you to find an appropriate substitute.

What does a typical yoga class entail?

Classes are 30 minutes in length. However, we can work around your schedule upon request. Please supply your own yoga mat, as we cannot guarantee any spares will be available. We offer classes during the day or in the afternoon. Please see our Events Calendar for more information. Additionally, we currently offer group classes. Though, if you prefer a one on one session, reach out to us and we will discuss options.
